Here at Health, wealth and baby we are always trying to reach higher planes of wellness. We are on a wild and rocky ride to find optimal health and spirituality. We don’t want to feel average or OK, we want to feel the best we have ever felt. We want to open our hearts and become more giving, more kind and better parents and citizens. When you feel lighter physically and spiritually you have more positive energy to feed the earth. Plus your health will be outstanding, oh and your stomach will be flat!

The Drag and drop detox allows you to drag 1, 2 or 3 of the detox boxes into life. Choose your own adventure!

To be able to fully feel and see the results of a detox you need to give it some time to marinate in your life. This is why we suggest whatever combination of detox boxes you plan to take on make sure you commit to at least 20 days.

Detox box 1: Release and let go of your relationship with alcohol and caffeine. These and other stimulants and depressants are unnecessary and addictive. Letting of go of stimulants is as much psychological as it is physical. Many of us have habits when it comes to stimulants that are so in bedded into our daily life that we become unaware that there is  an unhealthy dependency. Think of that late afternoon coffee for example. Is that daily ritual really helping improve our quality of life? Could we go without? Not having to need an unnecessary substance is freeing and allows us to better connect with our inner selves. Are we using these things to procrastinate? Self sabotage? Push ourselves beyond our natural boundaries? This detox goes beyond getting rid of the bad stuff like alcohol and is about cutting out any vice that you feel powerless towards.  If you are one of the lucky ones and do not consume alcohol or caffeine, tackle your vice. It could be diet Pepsi, sugar or salt. If it is not what your body needs but your mind simply wants, try to release this dependency and observe how it makes you feel.

Basic Guidelines: Choose the stimulant or stimulants and depressants (alcohol) in which you would like to stop using. Than make a commit to yourself to not use that stimulant for at least 20 days.

Detox box 2: Food. For the purpose of a detox we want eliminate or at least reduce the amount of allergens we put into the body. We also want to aid digestion and encourage the body to cleanse. Whether you are vegan or not for the purpose of this detox we want to eliminate or significantly reduce animal products. Animal products are much harder to digest then plant based foods and in order to cleanse the colon we need to avoid foods that block this process.  Fruits and vegetables move through the system quickly and efficiently, plus they are water packed which is hydrating and naturally cleansing.

Basic Guidelines: Substitute meat and fish protein with high protein grains such as quinoa. Beans and moderate to low amounts of nuts and seeds work great too. See how your body feels with less protein. Check out our vegan recipe section for easy meals, we are not chefs so they are all pretty simple to make.  If cutting out all animal product is too overwhelming allow yourself a pass once a week where you can eat meat or fish.

Detox box 3: Meditation/relaxation.  Meditation is so much more than just sitting on a pillow and counting your breath. Meditation works as a tool to help slow down your life and allows you to be more present. Sometimes it can feel like the world is spinning round and round at a rapid speed and trying to enjoy the present moment can seem impossible. If you are feeling overwhelmed and like life is rushing you by try sitting in silence for 10 minutes and you will quickly see how slowly time can pass when you are in the present moment.

Basic Guidelines: Add a 10-20 minute meditation to your day. Choose a time and place that works for you. We have done many meditations sitting in a parked car while the babies sleep in the back seat.
